The Thokozela experience

While the frills are not a necessity, we believe that comfort is. At Thokozela Resorts & Lodges, our lodges, bush camps and tourism facilities are aimed at safari seekers looking to immerse themselves in the African culture. We believe that for you to truly enjoy South Africa’s cultural and natural diversity, you need to live it as Africans do.

Our rustic accommodation allows guests to shed the stresses of their daily lives and get back to basics in their natural surroundings. The wholesome cuisine served from our kitchens is inspired by African mothers who have been cooking over open fire for generations.

At our facilities, luxury is found in listening to the sound of crickets on a still evening, watching the sun set over acacia tree lined hills or hearing the beat of an African drum from a nearby village.

The aim is for our guests to return to their world having learnt to say goodbye in the local language, having drunk home-made beer from a calabash and having learnt the steps from an ancient tribal dance. In this way, they will be true ambassadors for South Africa and the Thokozela brand.
